IIJA (pronounced eye-jah aka the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law) is a $1.2 trillion bill a "once in a generation" investment in America's Infrastructure that will add $550 billion in new federal spending over the next 5 years to invest in the key areas shown below.

Reconnecting Communities

Program to remove, retrofit, or mitigate highways or other transportation facilities that create barriers to community connectivity

PROTECT

Grants to improve transportation resilience, community resilience, evacuation routes, and at-risk coastal infrastructure.

Here are some ways you can get involved!

  1. Share your story & power real infrastructure projects in New Orleans.

We’ve partnered with ISeeChange and Healthy Gulf to better identify areas of improvements within our community; and report community priorities directly to the City & back to the community. ISeeChange is a platform in which residents can post pictures and their stories of climate impact or infrastructure related problems within their neighborhood. Want to be a leader? 2. Attend an upcoming Meeting or Event

We host community discussions and stakeholder meetings every month. You hold a stake in this process, come to one of our events or view past events

3. Find & Apply for IIJA funding

Not only Government entities are eligible; nonprofits and some businesses can also apply! You can use the wonderful tool that the Southern Economic Advancement Project (SEAP) has created to simplify the process
